The Biddeford Historical Society preserves and promotes the history of Biddeford beginning with the Wabanaki people to the present day. Because the past is vital to understanding and enriching the present, our Society’s role is to provide educational programs that engage the community in history and make each member of our community feel a part of this. The Society exhibits historical treasures and provides access into family and local research.
The Society believes that understanding history is a way to connect things through time. History is not static as all people are living histories and we as a community are making history today. We seek to capture and tell these stories and engage the community in this dialogue so they can be connected to the vibrant traditions that make Biddeford what it is today.
